Who can become a HONNA member?
Membership is open to anyone in the Historic Old Northeast community. You don’t need to own your home, and you don’t need to have lived here for years. If the Old Northeast is your neighborhood, HONNA is your association. Annual memberships are available at several levels to fit every budget.
Is my membership tax deductible?
Yes. HONNA is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so membership dues and donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. We’re happy to provide a receipt for your records.
How long does my membership last?
Membership terms vary by tier, from a one-year term at the base level up to a fifteen-year term at our highest tier. You’ll receive a reminder before your membership is set to expire.
How do I volunteer?
Sign up using the volunteer form above and let us know what you’re interested in, whether it’s a one-time event like a Porch Party or an ongoing committee role. A board member will follow up with next steps.
Can I donate without becoming a member?
Absolutely. You can make a one-time or recurring donation to support HONNA’s work without joining as a member, using the “Make a donation” button above.
What benefits do I receive as a member?
Every membership tier includes free listing for the Annual Yard Sale, free access to Shredding Day, and free entrance to Porch Parties and the Annual Holiday Party. Higher tiers add a copy of “Views from the Vinoy” and your choice of a HONNA flag.
What does my membership support?
